666 Watch: Prince (1958-2016)
Prince (1958-2016) passed away at 57, which I think most of us would agree is not an ideal age to die. As for us normal folk, many of us may neglect healthcare for financial reasons. Relatively, Prince had all the money in the world but was still walking around frail and weak prior to ultimately expiring. I wonder how it feels to die early, as a rich and famous entertainer, knowing that you've made deals with the devil in the name of achieving that success.
Well, I'm not going to go as far as to say Prince actually struck such an agreement. But I did recently came across the video of his 1994 hit The Most Beautiful Girl in the World and noticed that he threw up a couple of 666s.
If you were to lookup the 666 hand sign on Google, at least half of the initial pages that pop up rather point the "Okay gesture" and may not mention or reference Luciferian at all. But I think it's safe to say, all things considered, that a grown-ass man wouldn't be in a music video throwing up an 'okay sign' which, within the context of American culture, would be like a child's thing. Or rather let me say that if all of these musicians and politicians are indeed throwing up the okay sign, then who are they throwing it up to? It's definitely isn't us, the general-viewing public.
I wonder how it feels to be a child growing up in the information age. When I was a kid, I remember that Luciferianism, as far as big business goes, was only really associated with (hard) rock music or based largely on rumor, which wasn't nearly as easy to verify back then. I now realize that some entertainers were in fact throwing up the 666 hand sign even during the late 20th century, but back in the stone ages we weren't privy to what those symbols meant. In some regards, ignorance truly is bliss. You can enjoy entertainment like a child when you're not aware of the agendas of those behind the scenes.
RACIAL UNDERTONES
For instance, I found it interesting that there aren't any Black or Brown women when the video begins. They do show up prominently later and are also highlighted on the song's cover art. But the video initially establishes itself one centered on a White female romantic interest, as well as an Asian female. And as for the latter, notice that she had a couple of zits on her forehead.
That's important to note because you'll rarely, if ever, see a White woman with a facial blemish on an American mainstream media production.
Also, as for that White female, she isn't depicted as the romantic interest of Prince but rather some other, more-blatantly Black model who plays the role or her groom. And later on, there's another interracial couple (White male with what appears to be a Latina) prominently featured.
LGBT
I can't say I ever heard any actual rumors of Prince being gay. Of course there was speculation, but that's because he intentionally adopted an "androgynous persona". What appeared to be the case in real life is that Prince favored exotically-beautiful women, beyond the average White (no offence) ones shown in the video. But obviously, the video revolves around a motif of presenting quote/unquote average women in a model-esque light.
Concerning the way Prince presented himself, it's important to note his dubious sexuality because within the context of American mainstream culture/entertainment, African-American males - i.e. RuPaul, Damon Wayans, Barack Obama, Lil Nas X and many-lesser known ones, besides the likes of Michael Jackson and Prince - are often trailblazers when it comes to propagating LGBT or feminization throughout the entirety of the society. There's definitely what I would call a gay Black male stereotype permeating throughout American mainstream entertainment.
African-American entertainers have the reputation of being more countercultural or protest-like than their White counterparts. For instance, Prince is widely known for having stood up to the music industry. But at the end of the day, they tend to be down for the cause nonetheless.
It appear that you more or less comply in order to achieve or maintain A list status.
