The Forthcoming "Great American Eclipse" (Conspiratorial and Biblical Analysis)

Originally, I intended to write an elaborate post on how the United States is frequently experiencing eclipses these days at an unconventional rate.  For instance, the US of A is about to have its second solar eclipse in seven months.  There is a total solar eclipse set to transpire over the continental US on 8 April 2024.  Meanwhile, the country had experienced an annular solar eclipse as recently as 14 October 2023.

But upon doing further research, I learned that the US isn't wholly unique in this regard.  For instance, from 2045-2046, Brazil is scheduled to have two total solar eclipses within a 12 month period.  In 2053, Indonesia will have an annular eclipse and total eclipse in the same year.  Earlier this century, from 2001 to 2002, southern Africa had an annular and total within 18 months.  And note that the continental United States, Brazil and southern Africa are all very large land masses and therefore would logically be prone to more eclipses.

But with that being noted, there are nonetheless ample passages in the Bible, even going back to the Book of Genesis, which tell us that astronomical events can be taken as "signs".  And based on other verses found in the Good Book, it can be gleaned that solar eclipses may be a sign of the endtimes.  Here are links to some of such passages:

Most but not all of the above scriptures deal with the sun going dark as being symbolic of the impending 'end of the world'.  But what can be more generally ascertained, if they are referring to solar eclipses, is that such events are a sign of the Heavenly Father's displeasure.

So the general issue at hand is trying to determining whether or not in recent history solar eclipses are transpiring more frequently.  Based on the above logic, if so that would imply that we may be indeed moving closer to the prophesied 'end of the world'.

Previously, I was under the impression that solar eclipses have been happening occurring more frequently, especially across the continental United States.  But upon doing further research, I now found out that may not necessarily be the case.

On average, there has been approximately 235 solar eclipses around the world each century beginning with the 16th century, i.e. the "Modern Era" (with the 21st century set to have 224 in total).  Prior to the Modern Era, the number and therefore frequency of documented solar eclipses are a lot less.  But that lower figure would logically have something to do with literacy being uncommon back in those days, as well as information traveling slower, i.e. not all solar eclipses which occurred before the Modern Era having been recorded.

Based on biblical prophecy, I would personally presume that during the Modern Era of world history, when certain events foretold in Revelations began to come to pass, eclipses likewise started transpiring at a faster clip.  But I don't know that for a fact, so in the meantime I'll keep digging in hopes of finding out how many solar eclipses may have occurred before the Modern Era based on mathematical calculations as opposed to them actually being recorded.

USA BABYLON

I also believe that these eclipses, even if scientists have been able to predict them well beforehand, may be a sign to the United States.  It's very likely that the US is the ‘city of Babylon’ prophesied in Revelations.

According to the Bible, that particular city or country is decimated some time before the return of the Messiah.  In other words, the destruction of "Babylon" transpires prior to 'the end of the world' itself, with the rest of the world continue to function, even if in an increasingly-troubled state, in the aftermath.

According to the prophesy, it isn’t that a conglomerate of "kings" decide to attack "Babylon" of their own free will.  Instead, the Most High ‘puts it into their hearts’ to do so, specifically to usher in the reign of "the Beast" (Rev. 17:16-17), i.e. expedite 'the end of the world'.

However, it can be easily concluded that the Lord also has personal issues with "Babylon" also, which is depicted as a rich prostitute, i.e. an extremely wealthy and immoral nation.  In fact "Babylon" is so well off  yet defiling that it makes 'he kings and merchants of the Earth' who "committed adultery with her" so "rich form her excessive luxuries" (Rev. 18:3) that they "weep and mourn over" once she is destroyed (Rev. 18:9).  In other words, they become distressed as their own cashflow and lavish lifestyles are resultantly negatively and permanently affected.  And keep in mind that the US, as it currently stands, is indeed the center of the world economy, such as most currencies being judged by their value in relation to the US Dollar.

And look at the types of things they’re doing in the United States.  You have the President Biden dedicating this year's Easter - a holiday reserved to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus - as also being the Transgender Day of Visibility.

Granted, the International Transgender Day of Visibility, which is observed on 31 March annually, has been effect since 2009, and the White House began officially recognizing it in 2021.  But when they did so, considering that they can predict eclipses and all, the US government had to also know that it would fall on Easter now, in 2024.

The US government in is very adamant when it comes to honoring and empowering gays, even though the Good Book is very much against acts such as homosexuality and transgenderism.  This reality, amongst others, gives the the impression that the United States is tempting God.  President Biden is a Catholic, and most of the powerful political leaders (i.e. Congress) of the United States are likewise Christian.  But obviously, they're not intimidated by the likes of biblical statutes and prophecies.

BACK TO THE ECLIPSE

But once again criticizing the US's spiritual position is not the reason I decided to write this post.  I wasn't particularly interested in the forthcoming eclipse until I stumbled across an article where the author pointed out how, under his estimation, it was quite unusual for the National Guard to be called out in some places states to manage spectators.  Since then, other intriguing news has emerged, such as:

I also spoke to someone on the East Coast of the United States, well outside of the eclipse's path, who stated that residents in the area were basically instructed or advised to stay indoors during the event.  And yes, all of this does sound a bit extreme for a solar eclipse, even a full one since, to reiterate, they aren't particularly uncommon in the modern world.

Granted, the sun going black for a whopping 4 minutes and 28 seconds is nothing to scoff at.  But the presence of the National Guard gives the impression that perhaps the powers-that-be are anticipating some type of riot.  According to their own rationale, their sending out the troops to manage an influx of visitors into areas which have the best visibility of the eclipse.  You would think the police could handle that, unless they’re also anticipating criminals using the opportunity to loot, thus necessitating that the cops rather be out on the streets.

In any event, by the looks of things Oklahoma and Texas will be deploying their National Guard.  And in at a least couple of other states, i.e. Nebraska and South Carolina, the National Guard will be on standby.

It isn't unprecedented for states to employ their National Guard to help manage eclipses.  For instance, Oregon did so in 2017.  But interesting to note is that the division of the Oklahoma National Guard being deployed during this coming eclipse is specifically prepared to deal with HAZMAT - as in "chemical, biological, nuclear, radiological, and high-yield explosive-related" - emergencies.

In any event, the eclipse is set to directly affect 15 states in total:

MY CONSPIRACY THEORY

Under my estimation, there are to why possibilities concerning the government's heavy-handed response to the forthcoming solar eclipse.  One is that they are anticipating it lasting longer than the scheduled duration and people spazzing accordingly.  And/or they may be expecting a terrorist attack or some other type of catastrophe, perhaps a natural one being caused or inspired by the eclipse.

Currently, I’m leaning more towards the former notion, that maybe the eclipse will last notably longer than five minutes, thus understandably causing some to people panic.  There are some conspiracy theorists floating the idea that it may even last for three days.  Personally, I don't believe that.  However, the biblical passages noted above pertaining do give the impression the prophets were referring to events beyond your conventional solar eclipse, which tend to only last for a few minutes.  Indeed, the sun can go dark even when there isn't any eclipse at all.

CONCLUSION

Like most people, I can imagine how being witness to a full solar eclipse would be a fascinating experience.  But at the same time, I’m not particularly eager to see one myself.  The sun going dark, even if predicted years in advance, is not a small thing.  And as I’m sitting there watching it, in the back of my mind I’d also be thinking like ‘damn, what if it remains that way’?
